Ombudsmen are trained volunteers who receive and resolve complaints from residents in nursing homes and adult care facilities. This is a program of the New York Office for the Aging. If your concern is not fixed within a reasonable time, or if you are not comfortable talking with someone in the nursing home, you can call the Long Term Care Ombudsman Program.
